22: Tiger in the Smoke Margery Allingham [Kindle]
The May read for the Shedunnit Book Club online- I was a little late finishing. Not your typical Golden-Era mystery and very little Campion, nor did he really solve the case.
I quite enjoyed the plot though - the interconnectedness was very cleverly done, and some of the characters were very interesting.
23: Invitation to Die Lindsey Davis [Kindle Single]
Some versions of this are subtitled 'a Flavia Albia' short story, but it is really a Camillii short story.
Based around an infamous dinner party given by Domitian, it was good to see some of the extended family being featured. Full of humour, and everyday Roman life.
24: Vesuvius by Night Lindsey Davis [Kindle Single]
Not as funny as most of her Roman works, partly because of the nature of the story, and partly because I think she was trying a bit too hard to be educational, at the expense of the story. Rather a clunky plot.
25: Kate Shakleton's First Case Frances Brody [Kindle Single]
A very enjoyable prequel to the series. Good characters and plot, providing a nice introduction to some of her family too.
26: Sacrilege S.J. Parris [Kindle]
Not my favourite one of this series, I think there was too much of the Sophia plot and more of the consipiracy plot. I did feel very sorry for Bruno.
27: The Nursing Home Murder Ngaio Marsh [Kindle]
June's Shedunnit Book Club read, not late this time! A very good mystery, with an interesting plot, and Mash balances very technical medical detail with humour really well. A good range of characters, even if one of the key women was a complete drip!
