Knitting and Stitching update

It has been a long time since I did one of these - I have finished things, but they have been sitting around waiting to be photographed.
Firstly the knitting
I knitted a couple of pairs of bootees for colleagues who were expecting a baby - these are so simple to make and they are such a cute pattern:

I also am very far ahead of myself with the present knitting, as these are for Mum's birthday next year - I could give them to her before, but as the yarn is called Aquarius it seems more appropriate for a birthday present. This is the fourth pair of Jaywalkers I have knitted, and I think the last for a while.

I just finished a cross stitch wedding present for a good friend of mine - and as the happy couple may be going abroad at some point, I made it into a wallhanging, rather than having it framed (I say I, I mean we, as I had a lot of help from Mum)

The pattern was one adapted from a magazine, and I am quite pleased with how it turned out. I also appear to have acquired a quilting bug too ...
In the course of attempting to tidy up I found a cross stitch that I started in March, so I decided to finish it off. Handily, it fitted into one of the frames I bought at the Pannier Market at the end of July

This is not, however, the best photograph I have ever taken of cross stitch, might have to have another go. One where you can see the fab frame better. If I decide to leave it in this frame
