Last weekend I went to London to stay with
miriammoules , and Smith. Being a well trained person I arrived bearing gifts for Smith, which he seemed to appreciate:

Needless to say, I was well fed over the weekend (despite mishap), and the highlights were definitely the sesame-tofu risotto, and the lemon/ginger/garlic chicken (which may have led to the accidental nomming of half a chicken ....)
Saturday morning Mim did the Finsbury Park Parkrun, and I, somewhat more sensibly, watched ;) Mim knocked a whole minute of her previous time, which was fantastic!
We then returned back to base for the aforementioned risotto before heading off in a British Museum direction. The trouble I find with the BM is where to start, but this time we had some targets - the Kings Library, which I haven't seen since it has been restored, and then to work our way through some of the 100 objects - we managed 17 out of the first 30, which I think is a reasonable start - and a good reason to go back!
Saturday evening is Doctor Who time, of course.

After the fantastic chicken for Sunday lunch, came one of the highlights of the weekend - going to see if we could spot sparklielizard in the Marathon. As you can see, we did:
I had never been to anything like the Marathon before, and I have to say the atmosphere was fantastic! I would definitely go and spectate again :)
Lets not mention the journey home though.
