The Time Traveller's Wife
I have to read the book now, as I loved this film so much. Floods of tears at the end, but wonderful all the same.
The Decameron, The Canterbury Tales, Arabian Nights
Ok, so the last of these snuck into September, but I want to talk about the whole triology. Pier Paolo Passolini's trilogy of stories within stories was really enjoyable - despite the constant prescence of an annoying actor playing the fool in all three films. The costumes were odd in places (when they were wearing any), and I don't see why he had to add extra stories to The Decameron, it isn't exactly short of them! Mixed feelings about these

Date: 2009-09-05 02:32 pm (UTC)Hmmm I didn't like Time Traveller's Wife, it was way too glurgy for me (I read the book but haven't seen the movie, don't really wanna even though Eric Bana is always a big plus). Sadly I borrowed the book, cos otherwise I'd have sent it to you:(
