Saltaire: World Heritage Site

Today I finally made it to my local World Heritage Site - Saltaire. As I was there to take a belly dancing workshop, not for a day out, I only had a little look around, but I still saw a lot.
The train journey over there was quite nice, I hadn't used that line before, and I generally love rail journeys in West Yorkshire, the stone villages in the hills are some of my favourite scenery. I had plenty of that even though it takes less than 20 mins to get to Saltaire.
The Hall where the event was wasn't far from the station, and it was dull and drizzly when I got there, but coming back the sun had come out and I managed to snap these photos on the way back to the Station.
Victoria Halls - where the event was:

A lion outside the school opposite the hall:

The famous Salt's Mill (well bits of the huge complex):

The church just beyond the station:

I will see if I can get some more photos next time I am there, and I am resolved to have a proper visit there too, seeing as it is so close!
