A not too bad weekend

Mum was over this weekend - and we planned on a quiet weekend for once, which suited me as I was still recovering. The downside was I had to cancel having my cousin and Aunt over for lunch as I really wasn't up to having guests.
Saturday we went into town, where I finally managed to get some linen trousers for work, but was very disappointed that the bargain dress didn't fit - even though it was a size bigger than the trousers!
I was coping alright with town and the heat until we bought lunch in the market, as between the stall and the seat, I got hit in the face with a large cardboard box. So that was it for the rest of the day, unfortunately I still had to go to Morrisons.
I didn't do much else on Saturday, as I was completely wiped out after all that.
Sunday got off to a good start munching our way round the free samples at the farmers' market, and buying some yummy things for later in the week (Lancashire Cheese with Cider and Chives - yummmmm).
Two successes around the house on Sunday:
1: I no longer have the stupid tension rod, so my voile curtain won't fall down any more - and Mum re-hemmed my curtains too, while they were down, with the 'assistance' of Mungo (one of the cats next door).

2: We built my new bench for my garden - again with the help of Mungo - here he is inspecting the finished article:

Later that evening Mungo and his sister Gracie came over and took over an armchair:

(All together now, awwwww)
