15: The Little Coffee Shop of Kabul Deborah Rodriguez [kindle]
Enjoyable, although the happy ending was a bit twee, but also quite satisfying in its own way. I do want to read the non-fiction behind this story.
16: SPQR Mary Beard
Really good - didn't disappoint in any way. Really liked the tone and the focus.
17: The Secret Agent Joseph Conrad [kindle]
Really didn't love this. OK story but very long winded in places. Good discussion at book group though.
18: A Touch of Frost R.D. Wingfield [kindle]
Really good, nice interlinking between cases and good characters, not a completely happy ending, but Frost does ok.
19: The Muse Jessie Burton
Didn't love this as much as I did The Miniaturist, but liked it by the end - especially the twist. I felt it was a shame we didn't get more of Lawrie and Odelle
20: The Fire Queen Emily R. King [kindle]
Wasn't sure about this to begin with, but by the end I was loving it.
21: The Rogue Queen Emily R. King [kindle]
I loved the plot twists in this, and the battles. Nicely set up for the last book, and I can't wait. I was a bit frustrated though, as I thought it was a trilogy, and now I have to wait!!
