Having finished no books at all in July due to being really busy and really tired, I have done a little better this month. I also have missed a book group read for the first time, but I will finish it sometime.
31: The Ghostly Murders Paul Doherty [Kindle]
I read several books in this series many years ago, but this one was new to me. I am loving the interactions between the pilgrims running behind these stories. Once again, a very good mystery too. I am glad I have rediscovered this series.
32: The Night Counter Alia Yunis
This was a brilliant tale of Arab-American family life, with a sprinkling of the 1001 nights thrown in. Great characters, very funny stories. I hope Alia Yunis writes more.
33: The Dance of Death Edward Marston [Kindle]
Not as good as the Railway Detective series, but quite enjoyable all the same. Very good plot twist in the mystery, but the characters aren't so appealing.
34: Monarch of the Glen Neil Gaiman [Kindle]
This is an American Gods novella, and it was a great, self-contained story about Shadow. The mythology fits well into the American Gods world, and the characters were great. Will have to look out for the other novella.
