32: The Iron Hand of Mars Lindsay Davis
This was a distraction from another book - and it was a good choice. I love Falco and Helena in this one. So funny.
33: The Double Jose Saramago
This was the July read for the book club, and what I was desperately trying to avoid by re-reading Falco. I hated this book so much. It was utterly pointless, waffling, a preposterous plot, and downright sexist too.
34: The Making of Home Judith Flanders
This was utterly fascinating - a great look at the changes in how we have definied home, and how fashions, architecture, and technology have changed the home, and attitudes toward private life. Great use of illustrations (and I was glad to be able to see them in colour now I have the new toy).
35: Welcome to Rosie Hopkins Sweet Shop of Dreama Jenny Colgan
Finally got round to reading this, which Mum leant me ages ago. It was a welcome relief after The Double. Very funny, especially the rather firm opinons on sweets held by one of the characters ;) I was chuckling all the way through this.
36: Elizabeth and her circle Susan Doran
This was a goodreads giveaway book, and it took me a long time to get through it because of MOOCS etc. I reviewed it here
