The first of many

pandopTonight I finally made a start on a project that has been in the planning for a while. I am going to use up some (most, although there are a few other things I want to make too) of my left over sock yarn to make fishies, which then will tesselate together into a huuuuge blanket (I am going to use the left over blue sock yarn to crochet them together)
As most of the things I am going to have on the go for a while are likely to be quite large and bulky, these fishes are going to be my knit night and out of the house projects. Here is the first fish, fresh off the needles:
