Productive

As well as looking after Mum last week, I had the chance to catch up on my crafting, especially the much-delayed bookmarks, but I will post about them later, because I am much more chuffed about my first ever pair of booties.

I learned so much knitting these, short rows, picking up stitches and that it really helps to be able to count! Knitted on 3.75mm and 4mm bamboo needles that I got for Christmas. Unknown wool that was found in my Mum's stash. Pattern from an ancient copy of Woman's Weekly.

I apologise for the lack of light in these photos. There is no natural light in my Mum's living room.

The booties are for my friend Sarah's baby, and while I was home, Mum knitted this cardigan for him too:

and we found the most adorable little buttons for it:

Thanks Tee. I have decided I quite like making baby things - nice and quick to finish!

I do to. They were the first buttons I saw, and I knew it had to be them
