New things

I have just completed the my first complete repeat of a cable pattern ever. I then proceeded to take a very bad photo of it.
You can barely see the cables :( The yarn looks good though :)

I cast this hat on as I wanted a small project, which it will be, but it didn't feel like it, when I cast on 122 stitches! I am making it out of the cashmere I won (see icon) and it is lovely to work with, but staining my hands/needles something chronic. If this continues post blocking I might not want to wear this hat in the rain, for fear of getting a blue forehead - whioh wouldn't be the best look for work, methinks.
I am quite proud of myself for getting this far - and I am getting the hang of cabling ok too. Which is just as well, seeing as I rather like the look and have a *lot* of cabled patterns I would like to make.
