Festive things

There won't be a book post this month, as I got so little reading done between Christmas crafting etc I will just roll it all into Decembers post (and I hope to get some more reading done over Christmas, and I know I have said that before)
At the end of November I had a week off an split it between Bridlington and Leeds. While I was at Mum's we went to see the Christmas decorations at Burton Agnes Hall. I tried to take a lot of photos, not all of which were successful - I need more practice and to remember to take my tripod places where it might be dark! We waited until it was getting dark so we could get the effect of the decorations better, but it did nothing for my photography
I liked the lights on the topiary along the drive very much, and I got these before it was too dark
The only picture of the Great Hall that came out was of this corner
All the pictures in the house were trimmed, except one in the dining room - of Oliver Cromwell!
Upstairs in the Justices' Room the decorations were bells that had been handknitted by the volunteer guides at Burton Agnes.
On the subject of knitting, Mum and I went to the Knitting and Stitching show at Harrogate, where we saw this amazing knitted Christmas tree.
